The owners sought to transform their modest two-bedroom home into a long-term family residence. The project added a new story to provide an in-law suite, recreational areas, expanded living space, and increased storage. As a fast-tracked project, design and construction occurred simultaneously, requiring constant coordination. The main challenge involved maximizing every square foot for functionality without sacrificing clarity. Flow Design Architects integrated storage into overlooked areas and created moments of architectural interest. Strategic window placement and framed views were used to connect the home to the Revere neighborhood and the presence of Revere Beach.
