10 Winter Street - New Two-Family Home

Some sites ask for patience. This vacant lot in Peabody already carried a Conservation Commission Order of Conditions when we were brought in to design a new two-family home. When our plan introduced a garage, the commission's chairman, a civil engineer, flagged the excavation as grounds for a formal amendment. Rather than reopen the approval and lose months, we reworked the parking inside the approved scheme: two cars in the garage, two outside.

That set the tone for the next three years of zoning, conservation and construction reviews, carried out through the pandemic.
